Meet, greet and mingle with other business people in nottingham

Pareting & Networking - can/do they mix?

Am I the only one out there who as a parent (my boy is almost 9 months) finds it hard to commit any time to networking?

I have lots of motivation to get out networking more than I do, but with most events being post-work, it means I'd miss out on the previous little time I have with the little one before he's down for the night. Either that, or they are crack-of-dawn and that just doesn't work when you have a baby at home!

I'm not sure what the answer here is, but it would be good to know if there are other out there who feel hampered in any way because of their family commitments or indeed the way business timings/events doesn't take work-life balance into account as much as it could?

Failing that, perhaps I'll start a parents business networking group?

:)

Crikey, I know where you coming from !! It is difficult to get the right balance at times
I totally understand what you are saying, perhaps you should look for networking groups that you can work around your child rather than around the business? I know mine does!
Couldn't agree more here, having a child does hamper your ability to go networking, I've also had the idea myself regarding starting the parents business networking group.....where is the nearest soft play center lol :)
