It entirely depends on the service you're talking about, but typically I find a client wants:
- Easy contact, phone number
- A track record of past work (client list, examples, however you want to do it)
Ballpark price range for services however that manifests. There's no problem with saying "We have done work for as little as £x and as much as £x but you really need to talk to us to see how we might meet your needs". However no word of what kind of price someone expects for something implies that everyone suspects they might be jaw droppingly expensive for whatever it is they're looking for.

Until a further dose of specific I can't be more.
Cheers for responses, we are looking to re-do our company website (digital services - web, design, marketing etc) and just trying to establish a content strategy - in particular how transparent to be with rates
Hi
Quality of work displayed of course but strongly backed by client testimonials to inspire confidence. I dont personally spend long on a site if I have to search hard (or nav is not intuitive) for what I am looking for - unless something grabs me or intrigues me straight away.
Good luck
