Meet, greet and mingle with other business people in nottingham

Collaborators wanted for Creative Nottingham blog

We want to create a blog that celebrates great products, services, performances and people from across Nottingham’s creative community.

Inspired by the success of Created in Birmingham, the blog will highlight the latest creative ideas, activities and thinking from Nottingham – all with re-usable content and listings.

The aim is to create an independent, inclusive online resource that helps to grow and give a voice to Nottingham’s creative community.

We need:

* bloggers with prior experience of blogging from a diverse background or interest in cultural, business and media in Nottingham
* a web design wizard
* an advertising specialist
* a PR guru
* a social media maven
* free web hosting in exchange for a logo and link.

The project will initially be run co-operatively, with contributors benefiting equally from any profits made by the service or incomes received, although these are likely to be limited while we get up and running. This is a project with the potential to win you plenty of kudos and work.

We are looking to establish a team by the start of July, with the aim of launching the blog in September 2009. To find out more about our philosophy behind the project and to contact us please visit:

You don't mention the digital video world in the blog Susi, but I'd be happy to take part and add what I can from a vido communications angle

cheers

Richard

Susie, I am friends with Pete Ashton, Stef Lewandowski, Chris Unitt and Danny Smith. If you would like any introductions please let me know. I am sure they would discuss the challenges they have faced and how CiB has changed and transformed over time.

I am hoping to be move from Birmingham to Lincolnshire soon and work in Nottingham. I would like to be involved in the community based creativity in Nottingham. I would like to offer branding and web design expertise to raise the Creative Notts WordPress theme to the same level as CiB.

As I get more established in the Notts scene I could contribute to posts too.
Hi Kevin, sounds great, we're sure to be in need of another blogger later in year - feel free to drop me a line susi@digitalconsultant.co.uk and we can arrange a time to have a chat -
Yes I know all the CiB crowd you mention very well, Pete's been very involved in helping develop the potential for Nottingham project,
Susi
I'd love to be involved in any/all coverage of the digital media/web sector of Nottingham on the blog, if you're looking for someone.

Hi Jamie, we're not seperating out specific areas for bloggers - we've agreed everyone will cover the whole blog on rotating timetable, a different person per week. If that's of interest yes please get in touch: susi@digitalconsultant.co.uk
